Poreotics: America's Best Dance Crew Season 5 Champions
Producers from MTV saw videos on YouTube of Poreotics and had told them to audition for Season three of America's Best Dance Crew. Poreotics then added two members to the crew, Lawrence "Law" Devera and Justin "Jet Li" Valles. They auditioned for America's Best Dance Crew season three but sadly they did not make the cut. In the spring of 2009 Poreotics once again auditioned for Season Four of America's Best Dance Crew. Unfortunately, they still didn't make the cut. After that they competed at the 2009 Hip Hop Internationals in Las Vegas. Jet Li was not able to perform due to his dad in the hospital. The crew replaced Jet Li with Chad Mayate and the crew had won the competition. After that they decided to make Chad a permanent of Poreotics and stay as a six man crew. The crew had improved on their dancing skills, interview skills and became closer as friends. Once again the crew audition for Season Five of America's Best Dance crew and finally made the show. Poreotics practiced every day during the show for five through six hours. During their West regionals performance the host Mario Lopez asked Can, "What's up with the shades man?" and Can jokingly replied, "Well, it's because we are the Asian, and we have the small eye, so and we like robot." Their performance was a great surprise because they danced to Taylor Swift. Their the first crew in America's Best Dance Crew history to dance to Taylor Swift. They really impressed the judges. Their second performance the danced to Day N Nite by Kid Cudi, but did not really impressed the judges because their whole performance was Isolations. Their next performance was dancing to Umbrella by Rihanna and they landed safe for the next week. The crew made it to the next performance and they dance to Paparazzi by Lady GaGa, it was a good performance and the tutted backwards and hit it clean. They landed safe to dance on the show for another week. They next performance they danced to Dancing Machine by The Jackson 5 and landed safe for another week. The next performance they danced to was YEAH! by Usher. For their challenge they had to incorporate some of Ushers moves in reverse., and they did it great. They landed safe for another week. The next week was the Illusion challenge week. They danced to Right Hand Hi by Kid Sister and they had to move and object with their minds. Unfortunately, they weren't safe for next week so they landed in the bottom two and had to face off with another crew to stay safe for another week. Week seven it was the Hip Hop Nation challenge and had to Hip Hop styles from around the nation. They landed safe and a spot to dance for next week. They then performed to Tetreotix by Poreotix and they won Blueprint Cru and they were named America's Best Dance Crew Champions. Then they performed one last victory performance to I Made It (Cash Money Heroes) by Kevin Rudolf. On week eight, The Live Final they danced with two other crews, Hype 5-0 and Heavy Impact. The three crews of the west performed to Blah Blah Blah by Ke$ha. Poreotics and Blueprint Cru performed together to Pulse Percussion. Next week there was a special called Champions for Charity. Where the past four Champions, JabbawockeeZ, Super Cr3w, Quest Crew and We Are Heroes performed with Poreotics. The past four champions crowned Poreotics in the Champions of America's Best Dance Crew. Poreotics said they would love to compete in America's Best Dance Crew again but it is very stressful and a lot of hard work. Matt "Dumbo" Nguyen said that their mini crew Miniotics will perform in one the the seasons of America's Best Dance Crew.

A little about Poreotics.
Poreotics or Poreotix is a 6 member crew. They're all Asian American, an all-male dance crew from Westminster, California. This crew was formed in 2007. They specialize in Popping, Choreography and robotics. By combining those three specialties they got the name Poreotics. The members of Poreotics are Matt (Dumbo) Nguyen, Can Nguyen, Charles Nguyen, Lawrence (Law) Devera, Justin (Jet Li) Vallas and Chad Mayate. Poreotics have performed in many hip hop dance competitions. Poreotics has placed 1st in the USA division of the 2009 Hip-hop internationals. They also won 1st place at Vibe 15, FUSION X, Body Rock, and World Of Dance. More accomplishments by this crew are, on April 8, 2010, they were crowned the champions of America's Best Dance Crew Season Five and on January 14, 2011 they were crowned as Team of the Year at the World of Dance awards. Poreotics are known for their dark shaded glasses which they wear when they perform. Poreotics have traveled to Australia, where they held their first ever official tour, called the "Tic Tic Tour". The tour ran from September 30 to October 10 which consisted of three shows which took place in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. It also consisted of four dance workshops, meeting with the fans, and performing with some local Australian dance crews. They featured in Justin Bieber and Usher's music video "Somebody to Love" and in Bruno Mars' music video "The Lazy Song". Poreotics have also appeared on a few shoes on television. Shows that Poreotics appeared on are The Ellen Degeneres show, which they performed their Disco Challenge routine from America's Best Dance Crew. Poreotics hosted the Bridge Juniors Dance Competition, and also had a performance on it. They appeared on Nick Cannon's short-live TV show "Nightlife." They appeared on Disney Channel's dance sitcom "Shake It Up". Poreotics launched a Commercial for Americia's Best Dance Crew season six on March 10, 2011. Poreotics are going to have their own Reality TV show called "Life After ABDC: Poreotics" and this will make them the first crew in Amerca's Best Dance Crew history to have their very own television show.
